My Story

I grew up on Joy Street in the outskirts of Melbourne, Australia. With four kids in the family, and a high-rotation of visitors (unexpected pop-ins were still a thing), there was never a dull moment. 

Every night at dinner we came together to share our thoughts of the day and these conversations taught us all how to reflect, encourage, and engage in critical thinking. This also instilled in me the value of listening yet also being heard.

My curiosity about the human condition and people’s authentic stories carried through from our Joy St kitchen table into my working life. I’ve spent over two decades in the media and entertainment industries finding, telling and sharing stories. 

Storytelling is an important aspect of the human experience. It allows us to share parts of our identity, give voice to our perspectives on the world, and connect more deeply in the community. 

As a TV producer I have devoted years to giving voice to people through their stories and to this day I believe passionately that it’s creativity and story that can break open hearts and minds. 

I was in my mid 30s when I got stuck inside my own story, unable to share what was most important to me. I had mastered the art of playing the support role in other people’s stories and neglected the work needed to star in my own bio-pic! Playing the wrong role in the wrong story for the wrong reasons can produce a very unsatisfying life.  No blockbuster, just straight to DVD .

It was at this crossroad that I followed my instincts and found the courage to shine a spotlight on my spirituality.  For me, this is when the true, free flowing story of my life started to meaningfully unfold; a strong narrative arc, energetic plot with honest twists and turns and chock full of feeling. I’d found my creative endeavour and purpose: mediumship.

Now, as an accredited medium I know my purpose is to share this artistry with people who also want to create the life they know they were meant to live. 

Working with your spirit is when you really dance with your muse. They are the keeper of your true story, your narrator, director and number one fan.

Life is the biggest story there is and now as a medium and spiritual counsellor I have the great privilege of working with with people to bring reality to their story.  

I encourage you to take the first step. It’s time to bravely rewrite the old stories and create new ones, take action on the next chapter of their life and turn the light on at your own Joy Street .
